Our last day in Exeter...

This was our last assembly. We went to our last classes, we were given our certificates and marks and, finally, an ice cream van came, and there was ice cream for everybody.

Meanwhile, the leaders went to the RAMM, which stands for Royal Albert Memorial Museum.

After that, we all met at the cathedral green for the last instructions. It was the students' shopping afternoon, and they took it seriously as you can see in the picture...

Now, everybody is at home, packing their suitcases!

Only two days left!

We can't believe that there are just a couple of days left. Tomorrow morning our last class will take place. We hope we have a special activity.

Today we had a very bad example of English lunch, a sandwich of something that seemed jam.

Then the teachers went to the library. It's a very beautiful building in the city centre. It's fantastic! It's very big and with a lot of light, even a garden, where we have seen a squirrel!

In the afternoon we had our last trips, one group went to Exmouth and the other, with the teachers, to Dartmoor.

There were some cows and bulls, and we could even see a Dartmoor pony!

The views were fantastic, but we had to walk for more than two hours! And we had to watch out with the cows' poos!
In the evening, after dinner, we had our last disco and our farewell party.

Then two of our students had a dancing competition against two activity leaders, and guess who the winners were...

To finish with, the activity leaders had some presents for the students, and Paula and Gemma got two T-shirts for being such good dancers!

Wednesday, July 9th

Today was like last Wednesday: assembly, lessons and sports activities. Five of the girls went canoeing again, one of the girls, Clara, went swimming and the boys chose free sports. They played football and baseball.

Then, after canoeing, they had a rest while the teachers had a cup of tea in the Quay.

And, now, look at some of Clara's pictures, just before taking the bus home!

Here you can see a picture of Clara and Carlota, with an Italian students who is in the same house, and one of the family's children. Aren't they cute?

In the evening, the group leaders, that's Anna and Glòria, went to a garden party to Ben's, the IPC director. There they had a good time with the other leaders, most of them Italian teachers.

Meanwhile, our students were at their host families' houses doing different activities, for example, watching films, probably 'Frozen' again!, or, telling tales to the family's children, like Paula. She is so sweet!

Second Tuesday!

Hello again! Today our classes have started after the morning assembly as always, but Chris was a bit angry with a group of students who were not behaving in the class.

After lunch, we went to our school trips, one group went to Exmouth and the other went to Dawlish Warren. Both trips included some games on the beach. Some of the students preferred to go for a walk instead...

Let's see some of the pictures about the food of today. First, the cream tea, a typical sweet snack of the area.

And then, Gemma and Genissa's dinner of today. They are so happy!

Tomorrow more!!!

Second week starts!

Now, we know what the typical English weather is like! It's been a rainy day, but this is also a part of the experience... In the morning, it was OK, it was not sunny but it didn't rain either. At lunch time, we had to have lunch in the school hall all together. As, it stopped raining for a moment, everybody in their activities group left for the park where the Olympics were about to take place. But they had to stop between competition and competition because of the rain...

Today, it's the Talent Show and Karaoke night. Everybody had to go back to school by 19:30. Our students didn't go to have dinner with their families because they had asked us if they could stay in town for having dinner all toguether, and that's what they have done.

Two of our girls performed a Hip Hop dance to show their talent tonight! They did it great! One of the best, if not, the best performance of the whole evening!

Sorry, but the photos aren't very good...
