Free day

Today was our free day. We decided to do some activities with the students, bit we had different plans because you never know what the weather is going to be like.
We met at 10:30 at the Quay. Look at the picture that Genissa took this morning.

Then we went on a tour guide about the history of the Quay, but the students were not very enthusiastic about it! Anyway, this tour took us to a nice walk around some different parts of the river. We also learnt about the importance of it as a harbour and the trade of wool and wine.

Then it started to rain!

And we finished our guide in the Custom House. Here you can see how interested our students were in the explanation of Exeter history.

After the guide, we had arranged a boat trip down the river but we couldn't because of the rain. Instead, we offered the students to go to the Royal Albert Museum but we only got excuses... So, off they went to their favourite activities: shopping and wandering around the city centre.

They got home for dinner and that's what Paula and Laia found in their house: a barbaque!

That'all for today! Tomorrow back to school!!!!

Tintagel

Our trip today was to Tintagel and Padstow. We couldn't go on the same coach but the coaches were going to the same places so we thought we'd be together but we were wrong...
Anyway, our coach first stopped at Padstow, a beautiful fishing village in Cornwall. The landscape was stunning!

And then, off we went to Tintagel.

There was a castle built in 1233 by Richard Earl of Cornwall. He built it there to link him to King Arthur, who according to the legend was conceived and born here.
This visit is a must for sea landscapes and history lovers. Look at the pictures, we are sure you'll love them...

And in Merlin's caves!

And a last picture of the wonderful scenery.

And today's image is this:

This is a slug and they are huge!

Friday lessons and shopping!

Today after the lessons, we have met the students for lunch at the cathedral green, but they all wanted to go and eat in Mcdonals. This was not a bad idea in the end because it was starting to rain, so we all went to Mcdonals. Anna and I didn't eat any burgers, we bought Cornish pastries... Delicious!

Then, we went to Princesshay shopping centre and there were always two activities leaders in front of the cathedral in case any students would have needed any help. We also met the students just before going home to check that everything had been all right. And, of course, they were ...

And the favourite word of the day is Hollister! Guess why?

And tomorrow more! We are having our trip to Tintagel, King Arthur's Castle.

Half day trips (day 2) and disco night.

The students were on time again, well for them!!!!
After the lessons we all had lunch together outside the school, as you can see in the picture.

The weather has been very nice since we came here, so today has been another bright and shiny day.
The afternoons trips have been to Exmouth, group 1, and Sidmouth, group 2, both are lovely nice sea towns.

What a pity!!!

But, the evening activity is much more exciting: disco!

Although not everybody was dancing... Guess who was outside playing basketball...

It's been a looooong day today, but just before finishing I want you to see the selfie of the day. Aren't they cute????

Wednesday 2nd July, 2014 - More activities today!

Today everybody was punctual! We are getting better day by day. We all love Pau and Ricard's pack lunches... They are delicious, full of things: two sandwiches, a pack of bacon crisps, a chocolate crêpe, a yoghourt, two pieces of fruit, a piece of homenade cake and some juice!!!! You can see their lunch of today in the following picture.

Classes in the morning, lunch break and today's afternoon: Canoeing!

And while the teachers were waiting, they enjoyed the views...

And this is after the battle...

And, then, making friends...

Then, everybody had to go home for dinner and went back to IPC school for Ceilic Dance.

With live music!

What a nice evening we have had!
